Colne Town Council very much appreciates the interest of the public in what we do.
As we deliver more and more services for the benefit of Colne residents, costs can increase and sometimes this stops us from doing something extra that we would like to.
For example, last year for the Blues Festival, over 40 volunteers helped us in a variety of way to deliver the festival and without their help we would have struggled to issue pre- purchased and sell new tickets, man stalls, deliver things, run bars and a whole host of other operational things over the weekend.
We now have responsibility for quite a few things for a small Town Council, The Town Hall, Bus Shelters, Benches, Playgrounds and the list may grow in the future.
We would like to explore the potential to establish some other volunteer groups in addition to the Blues Volunteers, so if you are interested in trying to help, then it would be great if you could register your interest by completing the enquiry form and send this off to us.
At this stage it is about gauging the interest of the public for this, so by registering your interest it does not commit you to anything other than perhaps to attend a meeting in the future, once we have an idea of the level of interest shown in this.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. We look forward to hearing from you.
