Enjoy Easter in Colne on Saturday, 15th April 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Now in its third year, our Easter celebration in Colne has it all: a traditional egg hunt, a display of children’s painted eggs on trees in the Library, a shop window competition, children’s crafts and facepainting in the Market, Colne’s famous free donkey rides, traditional acoustic folk music and children’s rides. Last year, Colne’s churches also contributed, with hymn singing and the Easter story being retold outside The Market.
Many thanks to Lloyd’s BMW of Colne who supplied all the Malteasters for the Bunny Hunt in 2015 and all the Cadbury’s Crème Eggs for the Easter Bonnet Competition in 2016.
As with last year, the event being allied to a Food Festival, with diverse stalls creating delicious smelling food courts in both Hartley Square and the Parliament Street Car Park (the Outdoor Market Area). We hope to arrange cookery demonstrations too, as these created such a buzz under the Market Canopy last year.
A Colne Easter is an opportunity to stock up on Easter goodies and sample lots of free entertainment at the same time.
